Carl works on a wide range of state and federal tax technical issues and projects. Before joining GAGNON, he managed large-scale corporate restructuring engagements for clients of PricewaterhouseCoopers. Carl has worked on issues and projects for Fortune 500 companies in the banking, retail, manufacturing, defense and high-technology industries.
Carl graduated summa cum laude from Hartwick College in 1988 and received his juris doctor from The Albany Law School of Union University, New York in 1992. He is a member of the Tax Sections of the American Bar Association, and the Boston Bar Association. Carl is admitted to practice law in New York, Massachusetts and Federal Courts. He lives in Ipswich, Massachusetts with Lorin, his wife of 21 years and an artist (see www.lorinhesse.com). They have two boys, Noah and Jonah.
